What is Video Linking and embeding?
Although Buzdeo allows you to share videos privately and retain complete control over them, their may be certain
circumstances the need to share them more publicly. For example you may want to take put your video on your profile within a social networking site, show your video
on an auction site or just link to it on your blog.
Buzdeo enables you to use both a link and an actual embeding of a player, the 2 methods look like this:
As Hyperlink example: "you really should see this amazing video"
Or as an player embeded into another web page.(example below)
Making your videos publicly accessible.
Before you can link or embed a video you must ensure that the video is set to public,
this is because videos which are shared in this way, could be viewed by anybody
looking at your blog or social networking profile page (you could of course have
another means to restrict access to these pages, but it's not something that Buzdeo
has control over).
To set a video to public, select the video in your members video or home page and,
click the 'Toggle public' link (see below) until the padlock shows an open position.
Linking a video using a Hyperlink
The easiest way to add a video to your blog or page is to link to it using a hyperlink
. Hyperlinks are often text shown with a
blue underline which links to another page or website. Many sites allow
you to post a link in htis way, to get a link for a video, first select the video
you want to link to, click the link
Link Video
and copy the link text from the box and then insert it where you want on your blog
or other web page. When you click on the link it will then redirect to Buzdeo and
the video can then be viewed.
Embeding a video into a web page
Embeding a video presents your
content visibly to your readers of your page or blog, but requires that the web
site enables this. To embed a video goto your home page / video library page on
buzdeo, select the video you want to embed and click on the link Embed Video
, copy the link text from the page and paste it to where your other web page is.
