all our servers are high end HP units built to be fault
tolerant and
deliver redundancy;
all disks are configured into RAID5 or RAID1+0 (where applicable), dual or
quad power supplies NIC's, battery backed Controller caches and redundant
cooling fans.. We build all units to a highly controlled and hardened standard Image,
to eliminate DOS attacks and keep your videos streaming.
Our state-of-the-art primary hosting site in the heart of the London Docklands has
over 5,000sq ft of high specification hosting space, along with 4 additional network
POPs to our other datacenter facilities, all linked by our diverse DWDM fibre ring,
capable of over 300gbs of data transfer. We also operate a remote POP in the SARA
facility in Amsterdam for disaster recovery and business continuity services.
We use the latest Juniper routing and HP switching network equipment, combined with
the best-of-breed APC InfrastruXure rack system to ensure that our critical infrastructure
doesn't go down... ever. We're so confident of this that we provide a 100% network
infrastructure uptime SLA as standard with all of our packages.
We have over 10gbps of external IP connectivity to our network, including transit
from Tiscali, NTT/Verio, Telia and Interoute. Our Network is a member of the London
Internet Exchange (LINX) and Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX), with over 2gbps
of capacity, with peers such as Microsoft, NTL, Claranet, Google, NewNet, Akamai,
the BBC and hundreds more.
Internally, we use a dual redundant gigabit network giving us 2gbps capacity to
each hosting rack. We use VRRP on our routers and rSTP on our switches, which along
with duplicating all core and edge networking infrastructure ensures a hitless failover
in case of a hardware failure.
We have technical support engineers are on-site 24/7 to ensure that our operations
run smoothly.
